(view changes)...From looking at these specific, personal needs over structure, I learned that I'm not a very dependent person. This is because I am always more confortable when I have specific instructions and structure, because I've seen that by following these instructions I get very good results most of the time. This is also a negative aspect of my personality and myself as a student since I struggle a lot when we need to make tasks related to creativity and freedom at the same time; because I can be very creative if I'm given a structure to follow. When creativity is involved in any task where there is no specific structure, I always start asking other people what do they think I should do, like what colour should I paint my design, what should I draw, what should I write about, etc. When asking other people what should I do, I notice I'm a very dependent person to instructions. This also applies to many other subjects in school. For example Visual Arts, where I've always struggled to create good art-works when the teacher tells us "draw whatever you want", but when the task is to recreate an art work, or create a painting being inspired by another artist, tasks get extremely easy for me, since there is a structure to follow.
When analysing boundaries and limitations in writing, interestingly I've discovered that they can help or obstruct people according to their personality, experience, creativity and independence. For some people, when boundaries are set in a write-up process it can be perjudicial, since their creativity is obstructed by these limitations, but fore some other people (like me) these could be used as a guide, to be able to write a good text. This is why it's so important to know how every single person can exploit its creativity and inspiration in order to get good results in writing, or in general too. By acquiring this knowledge, you can get excellent results by either using structure or not. It depends on each individual.

Throughout this process I had to look, analyse and use different types of poetic structures. As we have seen along this process journal, all of them were different and they helped me (or not) in different ways, considering creativity, self-expression and composition skills. In general (as seen before), the most strict and complex structures helped me in my process more than the ones that were very simple and gave a lot of freedom to the poet. With the more complicated structures, I felt confortable and guided which allowed me to exploit my self-expression and creativity since I felt like I was in my "comfort zone" making me just get inspired. This happened with both the Limerick and the Diamante. When I was writing up my Tanka, and I noticed the structure was very simple I thought that writing that poem was going to be very easy, but it actually turned out more complicated and difficult than the other two examples. Then I discovered that more complete and complex structures help me and make my creativity flow better, than simple structures
I really loved this project, specially since I will be able to apply a lot of the knowledge I gained in it in my life. Plus, we got to do some poetry which is always great fun!

Throughout this process of creative composing, I discovered a lot of things I didn't knew about myself, my creativity and what's easier for me to be able to write up poems, and develop creative content in general. With this process I discovered that it's easier for me to have a strict structure, that tells you exactly what to do (like we can see in Diamantes and Limericks), than to be given a lot of freedom with a very simple structure. We can see this in the different poetry types that are included in this process journal. In the final reflection of both Diamante and Limerick I specify that it was very easy to write the poem up, specially in the Diamante, since the Limerick had more characteristics to take care of, and in Tanka (which has a very simple structure), it was very difficult for me to compose my poem. I have also noted that I get good results, not only in poetry, but in general, when I'm told exactly what to do. For example, to make this reflection there were clear questions that you had to answer in it, and this helps me in the process of writing the reflection a lot. I know that if we hadn't had these instructions, the write-up of this reflection would've been slower, more difficult and tedious for me. After this unit of poetry I made a close relationship with structure and I discovered it is very helpful for me in different situations. I've also discovered that I need a lot of structural characteristics and specific instructions to be guided correctly through different processes. I really need a lot of strict structure to be able to write a poem, create an art-work or write a reflection very easily. I'm sure this discoveries will help me throughout my process through bach, because I will be constantly looking for instructions, in order to get good results in almost every work I hand in. A good way to get every instruction you need to do for every single graded work in school is by taking a look at the rubric of each specific work. In the rubric you can see how the teachers will grade your work, and what exact things you need to do in order to get a very good grade. I will definitely look and consider rubrics in the future, for other works.(view changes)

When relating this project, and all the knowledge I have gained through it to my real life, we can look at different aspects. First of all I realize that I have to become more dependent when it comes to taking simple decisions because it is difficult to me to take decisions related to creativity in a lot of areas. This would help me generally in a lot of places and situations, specially when it comes to taking decisions. It will make me less stressed and more efficient when working individually. I need to work a lot on that and in becoming more independent. Additionally, I can use what I've learnt in the school when having tasks. I will always look at the rubric and try to follow it to make the task easier for me and to get better results. It will also be a great relief to know how I can be more creative in subjects like Art, where I've always struggled with the creative processes of art works. I can apply all of this things to my school life to make it easier, better, less stressful and more efficient. The independence part can also be applied to my life outside the school too, since I will be able to do a lot of things without the help of somebody else, and take good decisions on my own.

From this example we can clearly identify the structure of a Tanka poem. We can clearly see the syllabification structure in this poem (5,7,5,7,7), which is the only structural feature of Tanka poetry. Additionally we can see that this example has a very common topic between Tankas, the nature. We can see that it is not possible to find meter nor rhyme in this example. This is a correct example of Tanka poetry, and it is also very beautiful.
Reflection before writing my Tanka poem:
I think that writing my Tanka up will be very easy, since it's simple to think about a topic and only arrange it according to an specific syllabification. Plus, the topics on Tankas are often related to nature, so there's not much to think about. I am planning to choose a single topic, like an animal, season or place, and describe it by thinking in adjectives or verbs, therefore the process will be very similar to the write-up of a Diamante. I am exited for starting this type of poem, and I hope i get a good final result with my poem.
My Tanka Poem:

Final Tanka Reflection:
When we analyse my Tanka poem, we can identify that the structure of Tanka poetry is present. We can see that the syllabification of the poem is of 5,7,5,7,7 which is the correct syllabification for this type of poems. Syllabification is the only feature of Tanka poetry structure, therefore it is evident that this poem fulfils the characteristics of Tanka poetry. Apart from syllabification, Tanka poetry is normally based on nature. When I was writing my poem I thought about something that I loved about nature, and that was my cat. Animals are an extremely big, and important part of nature, and even thought Tankas are normally based on landscape descriptions, I think that my cat, and animals in general are actually a valid topic to write a Tanka about when the general theme of this type of poetry is described as "nature"
The structure of Tanka poetry is actually very simple and I think this helped me a little bit when writing my poem, but not as much as the other structures of Diamantes and Limericks. This is because the other two structures were more specific and direct towards how the poet should structure the poem, whilst the structure of Tankas only specifies the syllabification structure. This gives you the freedom of writing about anything you like, and gives the poet more possibilities when composing their poems, but I've discovered when writing my Tanka, that is easier for me to have a strict, direct and complete structure that actually guides the poet through the write-up process, than having a structure that specifies little aspects of the poetry type, and gives a lot of freedom to the poet. It's easier for me to be guided, and be told exactly what to do, since I'm not very creative, unless I'm told exactly what to do, when my creativity explodes flowing with the structure. In this case I consider that the structure didn't help me too much.

This is because I am always more confortable when I have specific instructions and structure, because I've seen that by following these instructions I get very good results most of the time.
